We are looking for a Cisco-focused network architect to stabilize, redesign, and modernize a legacy campus LAN. This person will take full ownership of the network environment, from auditing hardware and ensuring device access to re-architecting IP schemes, routing, VLANs, ACLs, and segmentation, and leading phased migrations to modern hardware. Responsibilities include auditing all hardware, ensuring access to devices, onboarding devices into Catalyst Center, validating cabling and power, creating scalable IP addressing schemes, redesigning Layer 2 topology, implementing new routing strategies, building ACLs, developing NAC-ready designs for Cisco ISE integration, planning voice gateway migrations, executing phased migrations, organizing Catalyst Center, providing remote support, and producing detailed documentation for handoff. Required skills include a strong Cisco Layer 2/3 background, experience with Catalyst Center, ability to design scalable network components, familiarity with Cisco ISE, and proficiency in creating high-quality documentation. Strong communication skills are essential for working with internal teams and onsite customers.

Strong Cisco Layer 2/3 background in campus networks
Experience with Catalyst Center (device import, organization, templates)
Ability to design scalable IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and segmentation
Familiar with Cisco ISE (integration and switch config readiness)
Comfortable with voice gateway basics and working with voice teams
Can direct smart hands for cable tracing and hardware work
Must be able to build high-quality documentation using Visio and Excel
Strong communication skills to work with internal teams and onsite customers
