Job Description

The Active Directory Migration Engineer oversees the Active Directory migration. Coordinates the execution of the Directory Services strategy and direction set by the regional Enablement Lead. Manages the migration of Microsoft Active Directory environments, which requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, technology infrastructure, application expertise, analytical skills, and resolving complex problems in collaboration with others in the business and technology support teams. Reviews and resolves complex application and technology issues relating to Microsoft Active Directory. Manages the technical implementation of applications into the technology infrastructure in support of a "go live" event in addition to ongoing escalated issues. Determines the escalation of support requests to development, if the team is unable to resolve the issue. Influences others by leading and interacting with other network functions.

- Provides Active Directory Migration expertise

- Maintains knowledge of the functional aspects of Active Directory

- Uses PowerShell for automation troubleshooting

- Knows data flows and surrounding business processes impacted by Active directory

- Maintains a good working knowledge of the applications(s) supported including: purpose, capabilities, limitations, security and use within the business

- Regularly shares application knowledge when new problem resolutions are relevant to others on the team and update to knowledge base

- Demonstrates knowledge of applications and platforms currently utilised by the Firm and strong technical knowledge of products relevant to assigned applications

- Escalates issues or problems that cannot be resolved to Regional Enablement Engineer and Global Team Lead

- Identifies areas for improvements and embeds automation where feasible

- Delivers value to customers and clients as measured by feedback from key stakeholders

- Meets or exceeds targets for quality and Key Performance Indicators

- Ensures appropriate and consistent standards are followed

Required Skills & Experience

- 8-10 years experience in administering and managing MS Active Directory

- PowerShell for automation

- Experience working with LARGE COMPLEX Active Directory Migrations as an Engineer

- IT Architecture: Design, implementation, deployment and administration

- AD DS, AD FS, GPO, Forest and Domain trusts, Identity Management Software, DNS, DHCP, CyberArk

- IT infrastructure knowledge, associated network components and security principles to support the needed architecture

- Beneficial to have experience with Quest migration toolset, PowerShell scripting and automation

- Ability to effectively identify trends, security implications and escalate issues to the appropriate contacts

- Skilled in reporting and analysing administrative, productivity and operational data.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation

- Working hours will need to be flexible given the regional and global nature of the role (within 1-2 hours of local time)
