Job Description

Insight Global is looking to bring on a DCS Maintenance Specialist for a Utilities client in the Tampa, FL 33619 area. This individual is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving a facility’s Distributed Control System. This role focuses on system reliability, troubleshooting, logic changes, hardware support, and cybersecurity coordination within a plant or industrial environment. You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure control systems are stable, secure, and optimized to support safe and efficient plant operations.

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of experience working with industrial control systems in a process or manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting DCS logic
Experience maintaining and repairing DCS hardware and supporting third-party control software
Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and plant communications

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
ISA Instrumentation & Controls Certification or formal DCS training
Experience with process control networks and industrial cybersecurity standards
Familiarity with Emerson Ovation, GE, ABB, or comparable DCS platforms
Experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and emergency shutdown systems
