Cash Applications Supervisor

A Client of Insight Global is seeking a Cash Applications Supervisor to join their team. This role will direct the daily functions of the Cash Applications department, supervise the cash posting for the Firm, and oversee the month-end close, while working closely with the Client Accounts Manager to ensure proper policy is being followed, and that established performance metrics are being met. Using metrics to monitor and manage the Cash Applications team, the Cash Applications Supervisor will provide detailed insight on how to best reach set goals, work with the manager on performance issues, assist in identifying any areas of opportunity, and help to create a plan of action for individuals who fail to meet minimal acceptable performance standards in their role. This position also serves as the point of contact and the first line of escalation for all Partner or client-related issues. A variety of other accounting responsibilities may be required in accordance with the Firm’s established policies and procedures. Additionally, the Cash Applications Supervisor will be responsible for creating and organizing team meetings to deliver communication regarding Firm policy updates, training issues, and team performance; approving time cards, and PTO requests; providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Cash Applications team members; and participating in staffing discussions, planning, and interviews.

5 + years of legal accounting experience (must have law firm experience)
Cash application experience
Ability to lead a team of 8 (as a lead, senior, supervisor, or manager)
Accounting Information Management/System (AIM)/(AIS) experience (Timesolv, ProLaw, Sage, Clio, Xero, SAP ERP, etc)

Bachelor’s degree preferred
