We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Quality Engineer to join one of our top financial services technology customers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, API testing, and quality assurance processes, with hands-on expertise in modern testing tools and scripting languages. This person will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual and automated testing, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Additional key responsibilities include the ability to:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright in TypeScript.
Create, manage, and execute API test cases using Postman.
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across web and backend systems.
Document test plans, test cases, and results using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Collaborate with developers to identify, track, and resolve defects via Git/GitHub.
Participate in test planning and review sessions, providing input on test strategies and risk assessments.
Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings to the engineering team.
Ensure adherence to QA best practices, processes, and standards.

6+ years of professional experience in QA engineering, with a focus on test automation and API testing.
Proficiency in Playwright or similar automation tool using TypeScript or JavaScript.
Strong experience with Postman for API testing.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel for test documentation.
Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Familiarity with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) for database validation and query testing.
Basic experience with MongoDB Query Language (MQL).
Familiarity with DB Query Tools such as DataGrip, pgAdmin, or MongoDB Compass.
Experience with performance or security testing tools.
