Job Description

Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This candidate will be responsible spending 50% of their time doing conceptual design review for large scale power plant and power generation projects. The other 50% will be working on proposals and communicating directly with the clients.

Conceptual design use

High level design -- calling the shots on what the designs looks like for the entire utility plant

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

8+ years of experience working in electrical design related areas including electrical design of energy projects, and electronic component technology development and analysis.

Experience in renewables (solar, bio)

Experience working on Power generation projects ideally utility scale (ideally 50-100+ Megawatts)

PE License in any state

Demonstrated understanding of current electrical designs including appropriate codes and best practices; grounding methods and construction practices; control systems.

Experience with AutoCAD, Blubeam, or PV photovoltaics (used for design)

No residential experience

Wants someone senior level but comfortable rolling up their sleeves and being hands on

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in energy storage applications.

Experience with utility scale solar generation modeling, design, construction, operation, and/or development.
