Job Description

Provide senior civil engineering services for development and detailed engineering of renewable energy projects across the United States with a focus on the Western US.

Lead civil engineering technical team in the planning, design, and construction support for renewable energy projects.

Direct preparation of engineering reports, studies, conceptual designs, and permit applications.

Review and interpret local, state, provincial, and federal environmental regulations.

Define civil scope and prepare level of effort cost estimates to support and/or lead single discipline proposal development.

Mentor junior staff.

Pay Rate: 45-69/HR

Salary: 95-145K

Required Skills & Experience

B.S. in engineering or related major from an accredited university.

10 years+ of relevant work experience in the renewable/traditional energy field or related field.

Demonstrated strong background in civil engineering including site preparation, storm water management and BMPs, hydraulic and hydrology (H&H) studies, site drainage and grading, design of access roads, and fencing layout, for renewable energy projects.

Demonstrated experience preparing/reviewing the following plans to support project permitting and development: Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, and Waste Management Plan (WMP).

Active P.E. license.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, HEC-RAS, Flo2D, AutoTurn, etc.

Leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective meetings (internal and external) and written deliverables (proposals, technical reports).

Ability to manage multiple projects and work on several tasks concurrently.

Ability to work well with a diverse team including office-based and remote employees.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, construction specifications, procedures, means and methods, and documentation.

Self-motivated and driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
