Job Description

This role is primarily responsible for producing high-quality survey drafts, detailed drawings, and related mapping deliverables using the latest versions of AutoCAD with Civil 3D. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in CAD drafting techniques and a solid understanding of land surveying principles.

Key Responsibilities:
-Create accurate parcel and subdivision boundary drafts from legal descriptions using CAD methodologies.
-Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD and related drafting software to produce detailed technical drawings.
-Draft infrastructure elements such as roadways, culverts, sewage systems, dikes, and breakwaters.
-Support project planning by analyzing reports, maps, -drawings, test data, and aerial imagery.
-Assist project surveyors by drafting components of routine projects under their direction.
-Demonstrate working knowledge of surveying terminology and operate field equipment, including total stations, transits, and levels.
-Prepare a variety of survey-related deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
-Ensure all drafting work adheres to established AutoCAD standards and documentation protocols.

Required Skills & Experience

-High school diploma or equivalent
-Ability to read and understand maps, legal descriptions, deeds and construction plans
-Ability to multi-task on multiple assigned projects
-Experience with land surveying projects including preparation of survey plats, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, sketch and descriptions, etc.
-Strong technical and mathematical skills
-Must be familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
-Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Point Cloud experience is a major plus!
