Job Description
This is a position where you will be responsible for project understanding and completion, leading
field crews, training locators, field data collection, and overcoming field issues as they arise. Proficiency
in the use of ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic (EM) locating of underground utilities is required.
Responsibilities:
• Uses ground-penetrating radar (GPR), handheld electromagnetic (EM) locators and other
specialized devices including vacuum-excavation equipment to locate underground utilities
(communications, power, water, sewer, gas, etc.)
• Drives, operates, and maintains vacuum-excavation vehicles
• Operation of coring machine
• Regularly uses a variety of hand and power tools including but not limited to wrenches, drivers,
drills, pneumatic hammers, etc.
• Assists with Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) daily setups (MUTCD FDOT Intermediate traffic
certification card a plus)
• Stocks vacuum excavation trucks and support vehicles with appropriate equipment, supplies,
tools, paint, flags, signs, asphalt, concrete, etc. daily
• Participates and conduct safety meetings and maintains a safe work environment for all utility
crew members

Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in a SUE Lead position
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Ability to travel out of town as needed
• Ability to work outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, and overnight as needed
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
