Job Description

We are seeking two dynamic and experienced Finance Leads to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan and serve as strategic business partners for our $80-100 million product lines within the commercial aviation industry. This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong understanding of financial statements, FP&A, and a proven ability to provide insightful guidance to business leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the "CFO" for a product line, providing financial leadership and insights.
• Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive business action.
• Build and maintain financial models, incorporating key performance indicators.
• Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with cash conversion improvement by increasing inventory consumption and collections on receipts.
• Conduct profitability analysis and pricing strategy.
• May oversee a small team (1-3 people).

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
o Develop and manage the annual plan and monthly forecasts for the product line.
o Monitor financial performance against plan and forecast, providing variance analysis and insights.
o Prepare and present financial reports & underlying KPIs that drive the key financial metrics of Orders, Sales, EBITDA and Cash
o Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
2. Pricing:
o Create scenario-based financial models to support bid and proposal activities, analyzing different pricing and cost structures.
o Ensure price escalations are executed and implemented into SAP
o Provide financial analysis and recommendations for competitive pricing strategies based on cost buildup and market conditions.
3. Program Finance:
o Support program managers with financial analysis and reporting for ongoing projects.
o Track and report on program costs and revenue variances
o Provide financial guidance and support for new program proposals and business cases.
4. Strategic Partnership:
o Act as a strategic partner to the Product Line Leader, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.
o Lead financial reviews and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in FP&A, pricing, and program finance
Strong commercial manufacturing background
Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets
Experience in FP&A, P&L ownership, and financial modeling. Comfortable with SAP and Excel, and adaptable to new FP&A tools.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in a private equity-owned company (preferred).
