Our client in south Florida in the health and wellness space is looking for an R&D Manager to join their team! This role will be responsible for managing the research, discovery, and launch phases of R&D across multiple benefit areas. You will create and review raw materials for compliance and accuracy while using scientific information to support claims. You will also develop product claims for artwork, website, and social media articulating efficacy, safety, clean label, and nutritive content claims. Other responsibilities include defining technical selection criteria of active ingredients for products sold in US, Canada, EU, Asia and Australia, including efficacy and safety. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.

Bachelors degree or higher in Biology, Nutrition, or similar majors
5+ years of experience in formulation design and claims substantiation of dietary supplements or food
products, including vitamins, minerals, botanicals
Experience of identifying, evaluating, and managing ingredient suppliers
Knowledge of US regulations, including 21 CFR Part 111, 117, DSHEA
Knowledge of dietary supplement labeling and clean label substantiation
Good business acumen and communication
Knowledge of international regulations preferred (Health Canada, TGA, EFSA)
