Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support a variety of OEM aircraft projects within the aircraft modification and VIP completion sector. This is a fully office-based role focused on project coordination, technical oversight, and stakeholder engagement regarding interior aircraft design projects. This person will develop engineering budgets and milestone updates, track engineering action items, maintain engineering schedules, support the program manager, track statements of work changes, and have review sessions with the Head of Engineering to facilitate process improvement initiates.

The ideal candidate has experience working for an aerospace OEM (Boeing, Airbus, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, GE Aerospace, Parker, Safran, etc.) and is comfortable managing aerospace programs involving design, development, testing, certification, and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional aerospace engineering projects through the entire product lifecycle.
Manage technical scope, schedules, risks, action items, and deliverables.
Coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams.
Drive engineering development activities, including requirements management, design reviews, test planning, and validation efforts.
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and program-related issues.
Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to communicate project status and technical matters.
Support product qualification, verification, certification, and compliance activities.
Lead or participate in design reviews, technical reviews, and customer milestone meetings.
Ensure adherence to aerospace standards, quality requirements, and configuration management practices.
Develop project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and risk mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience serving as a Project Engineer, Lead Engineer, IPT Lead, or Technical Program Lead (preferably for Aerospace OEM projects)
Experience leading engineering projects from concept/design through testing, qualification, certification, and production release.
Experience driving project schedules, risk mitigation, action item management, and technical execution.
Experience interfacing directly with customers and executive stakeholders.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical reviews and customer meetings.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge and experience in airframe structural analysis is a plus
 Ability to review and check structural analysis reports is a plus
 Familiar with AS 9100 and/or ISO 9000 processes is a plus.
