Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Quality Engineer that will be based out of the Panama City, Florida area. This person will play a critical role in driving product and process excellence across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards, conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with specifications, and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Collaborating closely with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams, you will address quality issues and recommend corrective actions to enhance performance and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
You will support the company’s Quality Culture by applying a deep understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) and industry regulations. Acting as a change agent, you will promote defect prevention and continuous improvement using methodologies such as PDCA, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean. Your role will include training and mentoring staff on quality processes, leading Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) events, and conducting audits to ensure system compliance.
Additionally, you will liaise with internal customers, suppliers, and clients to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. You will implement and manage qualification, testing, and inspection procedures—including First Article Inspection (FAI), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)—to verify product fitness for use. Your responsibilities will also include analyzing customer feedback, supporting root cause investigations, and contributing to business proposals with accurate quality input.

Required Skills & Experience
• Around 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within the oil & gas industry (okay with a process engineer or project engineer that comes from a quality background)
• Experience interfacing directly with the clients on quality meetings etc.
• Experience developing and implement quality control procedures and standards (general quality, understand facility and update procedures, specific procedures, provision control, Microsoft office tools – facilitate improvements)
• Drive and motivation to want to grow as a leader and develop/mentor other quality engineers
• Proficiency in quality assurance software and tools – (General understanding of Microsoft – they use outlook, google docs, Microsoft applications, Microsoft copilot)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field
