About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant- AP Process Improvement to support a finance organization undergoing an AP operations transition to an offshore BPO partner. This role will play a critical part in stabilizing AP processes, improving quality and accountability, and reducing the oversight burden on the internal US-based team.
This is a hands on role for someone who is comfortable working in the details, navigating cross functional and cross cultural environments, and driving incremental improvements that make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do
• Provide oversight and quality assurance for AP processing performed by an offshore BPO team
• Review AP transactions at the document level (invoices, postings, reconciliations) to identify errors and delays
• Use ERP knowledge (JDE preferred) to validate work and troubleshoot issues
• Support cash account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Analyze and help resolve GRNI issues, including invoice and goods receipt mismatches
• Support the monthly GRNI tracker and help identify trends and root causes
• Attend meetings with AP processors and buyers to help bridge process and communication gaps
• Act as a liaison between US teams and offshore partners, navigating cross cultural dynamics effectively
• Help train and upskill the BPO team where gaps are identified
• Provide consistent follow up to ensure issues are resolved and improvements are sustained
• Drive small wins and process improvements that reduce rework and manual oversight
This role pays between $55-75 per hour

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
• Senior level Accounts Payable experience (Senior AP Specialist or similar)
• Strong understanding of end to end AP processes and common failure points
• Experience with PO based invoicing and buyer/AP interactions
• Enterprise level ERP experience (JDE strongly preferred)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Persistent, proactive, and comfortable following up until issues are resolved
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting or overseeing offshore BPO or shared services teams
• Background in quality assurance, audit, or process improvement
• Experience with GRNI analysis and reconciliation work
• Comfortable working in fast paced, transitional environments
