Job Description
Insight Global seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support spacecraft and satellite manufacturing operations. This individual will perform complex mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, and integration activities associated with the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of flight hardware and support equipment.
The ideal candidate will work from engineering drawings, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and paperless work instructions while supporting system integration, environmental testing, and launch preparation activities. This position operates with limited supervision and requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to support mission-critical hardware.
Candidates must be flexible to support any of the following schedules based on business needs:
6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Required Skills & Experience
Secret Clearance
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of relevant aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, or integration experience OR an Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience.
Experience working from engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience performing mechanical assembly, hardware integration, or production support activities.
Experience with cable harness installation, routing, termination, or cable management.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair complex assemblies and systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing or test environment with strict quality requirements.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established manufacturing processes.
Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Spacecraft, satellite, or launch vehicle experience.
Experience working with ESD-sensitive hardware.
System-level integration and test experience.
Environmental testing experience.
Cleanroom manufacturing experience.
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or paperless work instructions.
Overhead crane, rigging, or forklift certifications.
Military avionics, aerospace, or defense industry background.
Experience supporting launch operations or field integration activities.
IPC certifications or aerospace assembly certifications.
