Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior IoT / Systems Integration Engineer to support the expansion and modernization of their technical operations environment. This engineer will play a critical role in integrating complex systems, enhancing predictive monitoring capabilities, and helping drive a more robust, standardized, and operationally intelligent infrastructure.
This role blends industrial controls, IoT connectivity, data systems, and software management — while requiring a strong understanding of power plant or mission‑critical utilities operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solution‑driven engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and takes ownership of both systems architecture and long‑term optimization.
The engineer will work cross‑functionally with facilities, utilities, IT, engineering, and operational stakeholders to build and refine system standards, improve data reliability, enhance alarm strategies, and contribute to decision‑making frameworks built around real‑time operational awareness. They will also lead or support training efforts for operators and technical staff to ensure adoption of system updates, controls best practices, and consistent operational execution.
Responsibilities may include developing and refining controls standards, alarm philosophies, HMI design principles, communication workflows, integration roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives — supporting a strategic shift toward predictive insights, reduced downtime, and stronger cross‑team coordination
