Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an R&D engineer for a client in Odessa, FL. This person will be working on a manufacturing transition product – taking an existing piece of equipment and transitioning it to a new manufacturer. This will be a very hands on role involving designing, prototyping, and testing. design, 3D print, test, redesign, etc.. They will be working on food service equipment products and creating specifications for components.
This role will include intensive CAD work and working with sheet metal. They will be also be involved in product improvement and implementing changes for assembly. They will be the first engineer to join the team and the team will continue expanding this year.

Required Skills & Experience
-Minimum of 2-3 years experience with R&D
-Product development and testing experience
-Strong in CAD
-Experience in Solidworks
-Open to a variety of Engineering / Engineering Technician backgrounds
-Independent/ self starter (start-up environment)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Electronics or electrical experience
-Experience in injection molded part design
-Experience in sheet metal design
