Job Description
Insight Global is hiring 2 Mechanical Design Engineers on-site in Odessa, FL. This is for a medical device manufacturer.
Project Scope: Primarily design customization for existing Medical cart platforms. Customers request added features and modifications. Will be customer interaction, with some projects being short term and some longer term.
Design Tasks: Pulling components, creating sheet metal, structural adjustments (e.g., one shelf, two shelves, drawers, baskets), customization.
Deliverables: Top-level drawings, packaging labeling, BOM structure, release to operations.
Materials/Components Experience:
• Sheet metal design (75%)
• Fabrication (welds)
• Carts (medical mobile carts)
• Shelving, extrusions, castings
• Some injection molding
• Light electrical and cabling (projects vary)
• Candidates should have experience with a mix of these.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Capable of handling complex design assignments without technical oversight
Demostrated track record of successful project completion/implimentation
4. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and support.
Familiar with advanced Mechanical Engineering concepts, practices, and procedures and significant experience in application of this knowledge to the design of products.
Familiar with 3D modeling in Solidworks software
