Job Description

The IP Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing IP network infrastructure used to deliver cellular services in maritime environments. This role supports wireless infrastructure onboard cruise ships and associated terrestrial core network environments, including satellite backhaul, IP routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery designs.

Required Skills & Experience

• CCNA and CCNP
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies, including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
• Cisco Firepower
• Sourcefire
• Experience supporting maritime, cruise ship, remote-site, satellite, or carrier-grade network environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN platforms, preferably Versa SD-WAN.
• Experience working with Ericsson radio access network environments or cellular infrastructure.
• Experience supporting IPX, roaming, mobile core, or telecom transport interconnects.
• Experience with high-availability network design across multiple points of presence or data centers.
• Experience developing network standards, implementation templates, methods of procedure, and operational procedures.
• Experience supporting bandwidth utilization analysis, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
Experience working with vendors, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
