Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an ambitious and highly technical Associate Data & AI Engineer to join our Analytics and Business Intelligence team.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career technology professional with a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. We are looking for someone who is passionate about solving complex problems through technology, automation, data engineering, and emerging AI solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong coding abilities, a solid understanding of software development principles, and internship or early-career experience in technical environments. While reporting and dashboard development will be part of the role, the primary focus is on developing the technical foundation needed to build modern data solutions, support AI initiatives, and become an expert in healthcare data platforms.
This individual will receive extensive training in Epic Clarity, Caboodle, healthcare data architecture, and enterprise analytics technologies while helping transition existing Tableau reporting solutions into Microsoft Power BI.

Required Skills & Experience

•experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• 0-2 years of professional experience.
• Technical internships, co-ops, research experience, or entry-level positions in software development, AI, analytics, or data engineering.
• Experience building applications, automation tools, academic projects, or software solutions.
• Strong programming foundation.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
○ Python
○ Java
○ C#
○ JavaScript
○ C++
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working with APIs, data integrations, or application development.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, AI technologies, machine learning, or automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is beneficial but not required.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

•Comes from a IT background and has some AI capabilities
• Strong Power BI development experience including:
○ Data modeling
○ DAX
○ Dataset design
○ Dashboard development
• Advanced SQL development experience.
• Experience working with large datasets and business reporting environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work onsite five days per week
Experience within a healthcare environment.
• Experience working with Epic reporting platforms, including:
○ Epic Clarity
○ Cogito
○ Caboodle
• Experience supporting a Tableau-to-Power BI migration initiative.
• Experience partnering with operational and clinical stakeholders.
• Background as a Clinical Analyst, Healthcare Analyst, or other healthcare-focused technical role.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
