Job Description

The Senior Endpoint Architect plays a crucial role in establishing standards, designing, overseeing, and managing the clients Endpoint infrastructure. This encompasses Mobile Device Management as well as traditional Desktop, Laptop, and Virtual endpoints. Responsibilities include the underlying architecture, related software, and their security and management solutions. This individual will lead the design and architecture efforts for the client's infrastructure, focusing on areas such as high availability, disaster recovery, security, compliance, performance, automation, and cost management. Additionally, this role serves as a technical resource for business users and other IT resources, providing guidance and support as needed. The position demands extensive experience in architecting and deploying enterprise infrastructure for distributed, high-volume, mission-critical business applications and related systems.

Additional Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains architectural standards based on industry best practices in at least one infrastructure discipline, and the client's requirements, related to the design, development, and
implementation of infrastructure solutions and patterns
Develops, communicates, and governs enterprise solution standards, patterns, and best practices across IT
Facilitates and enables the implementation of applications and business processes using standard methods for multiple large initiatives at a time
Develops and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical application architecture, in the research and development, planning, deployment, and training of infrastructure technologies, and the retirement of obsolete technology
Provides leadership in the logical and physical design of system s, and ensures design is consistent and well-integrated with existing conceptual, logical, and physical architectures
Analyzes and estimates feasibility, costs, time, and resources needed to design, implement, and operationalize system s for large projects
Researches and evaluates infrastructure technology, products, solutions and makes recommendations on technology/production introduction, phase out and retirement
Develop and maintain high-level design plans for logical and technical IT architecture 10%
Provide direction, guidance and definition for enterprise architectures to effectively support the corporate business strategy and develop test criteria and methodology

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of Endpoint Engineering experience at enterprise level organizations
Expert Windows experience, Very strong experience with Tanium Endpoint management solution, overall Mobile Device Management, patching, and basic scripting experience
Strong experience working with different Endpoint management tools such as SCCM and/or Ivantiand Windows administration, AirWatch (WorkspaceONE), Soti, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS)/Intune and/or IBM MaaS360)
Advanced experience with multi-site, large environment application package deployments (Ryder currently has 12-14k Android devices in their environment)
Strong experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions
Proven experience working with enterprise architecture standards, processes & tolls including IT Architecture standards, Technology trends
Proven experience consulting to identify and articulate needs, determine project scoping, creating a plan and estimating project costs, effort and duration
Proven experience in diagnosing, isolating/resolving complex issues, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problem
Strong experience with infrastructure tools, methodology and processes, Strong understanding of overall IT Security, specifically IT Risk, Vulnerability Management, and system best practices
Proven experience in a technical support group and working with technical Project Management, Understanding and experience with the delivery of IT Operations services
Strong oral and written communications skills, Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

TOGAF Certified Relevant technical certification
Windows 10 or 11 Certified Relevant technical certification
Advanced Scripting - Batch file basics, PowerShell, ability to build WMI Calls
