The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for the successful management of the RCM AR Management Operations Team. The position manages processes and provides guidance, direction and support to encompass all aspects of the revenue cycle, including but not limited to reimbursement related analysis, claim submission, account follow-up, denial management, patient customer service, and underpayments recovery. The Director is responsible for establishing and monitoring the department goals, objectives and tactical plan consistent with the organizational strategic plan and vision. He or she must work effectively as a team member utilizing effective problem-solving skills and intradepartmental relationships. Possess the ability to motivate others to achieve objectives and goals, while balancing the big picture with perspective to the details of the operation. Direct Reports: * Manager, AR Management Responsibilities and Duties * The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all revenue cycle activities with a goal of maximizing reimbursement in a cost-effective manner that is in compliance with federal, state and payer-specific billing requirements. * Prepares detailed analyses and reports of billing and accounts receivable activity and results, including performance metrics, bad debt expense and AR days outstanding. * Analyzes reimbursement from all sources, including carrier reimbursement exception reporting and follow up pending claims analysis and denials management. * Contribute to the department goals on meeting key productivity metrics. * Assist in the training and cross training of staff. * Develop reports and procedures for the AR team, as well as systems for coordinating the management of the billing functions. * Perform and analyze periodic reporting. * Provides mentoring, coaching and performance reviews for direct reports
