Job Description
This hands-on role will encompass both the preparation of financial accounting and management reporting information. The Accounting Manager's primary responsibility will be to own the preparation of financial information and manage the close process. The individual will also be responsible for the Company's accounts payable process by managing a team of 4-5 accounts payable associates. The individual will assist in maintaining a strong internal control environment and work on various ad-hoc projects. Attributes needed for this position include strong multi-tasking skills, the ability to grasp big picture concepts while remaining detail-oriented and producing accurate and timely work in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
* Own complete month-end close process, ensuring all entries are recording accurately.
* Manage quarterly data requests from auditors / Parent company.
* Prepare / review journal entries and account reconciliation.
* Direct and oversee the Fixed Asset processes, owning the fixed asset register and recording depreciation.
* Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including inputting/coding
invoices, three-way matching, obtaining approvals and processing payments.
* Process employee expense reports coding at month end.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience working within the aviation industry.
- Experience in completing reconciliations, accounts payable, and debits & credits.
- Self-starter mindset and great communication skills.
- Ability to work M-F onsite in Miami, FL.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Quantum ERP experience is highly preferred.
