Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Scrum Master to lead and support a highly technical engineering team delivering complex software and/or systems initiatives. This role will own Agile delivery execution, Jira board management, and day-to-day facilitation to ensure teams meet program goals, manage timelines, and remove blockers. The ideal candidate is a strong servant leader who can translate between engineering and stakeholders, has a solid understanding of technical concepts (working knowledge of C, C++, C#, and Kotlin), and brings prior exposure to systems, software, or hardware engineering environment

Required Skills & Experience
Experience supporting technical delivery teams (software/systems/embedded/hardware-adjacent)
Hands-on Jira experience:
- Backlog hygiene (user stories, tasks, bugs)
- Sprint planning, grooming/refinement, sprint execution, and reporting
- Board/workflow management (statuses, swim lanes, WIP limits, dashboards)
Proven ability to manage timelines and drive delivery against program goals:
- Dependency tracking
- Risk/issue management
- Milestone planning and burn-down/burn-up visibility
Strong facilitation skills:
- Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retros, and stakeholder syncs
- Technical working knowledge of:
- C, C++, C#, and Kotlin (ability to understand discussions, read high-level code, and communicate with engineers)
- Excellent communication skills with engineering, product/program, and leadership audiences
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background in systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, embedded/firmware, or similar technical industry experience
Experience supporting cross-functional engineering teams (e.g., firmware + software + hardware)
Exposure to SDLC/engineering practices:
- CI/CD, code reviews, branching strategies, release planning
Experience with scaled delivery (SAFe/LeSS) or multi-team program coordination
Jira/Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP) or demonstrated equivalent experience
Experience building dashboards/metrics for leadership:
- Velocity trends, cycle time, throughput, aging work, predictability
Familiarity with tooling beyond Jira (Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub/GitLab)
