Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled, safety-conscious Field Technician II to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspection projects across active job sites. This role performs advanced field and laboratory testing, on-site inspections, and materials sampling to ensure construction and environmental projects meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Field Technician II works independently in the field, maintains testing equipment, documents accurate results, and communicates real-time updates to supervisors, contractors, and project managers. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, strict adherence to OSHA and safety protocols, and flexibility to work variable schedules, including travel, early mornings, weekends, and overnight assignments as needed. The role may also include mentoring junior technicians while offering continued technical development and growth opportunities within a dynamic field environment. This role will pay $43-50k/yr.

Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or a related industry.
- Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing, CTQP Concrete Technician, or CTQP Earthwork Level 1
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to safely operate company vehicles.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations, industry best practices, and company safety policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Field Data Collection (FDC) software or similar industry tools.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports related to drilling, safety, and project requirements.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate sample collection, testing procedures, and documentation.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including early mornings, weekends, overtime, and potential overnight travel based on project demands.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- vocational training or coursework in construction, engineering, geology, or a related field is a plus
