Job Description

Role Overview
This role is an internal PMO-facing Project Manager, not the delivery lead. The individual partners closely with a third-party implementation partner to ensure execution is aligned with internal standards, governance frameworks, and long-term enterprise strategy.
The Project Manager owns delivery discipline, stakeholder alignment, and audit traceability, ensuring all project decisions, approvals, and milestones are properly documented and compliant. This role plays a key part in bridging business, IT, and finance teams while supporting the transition from implementation through post–go-live sustainment and roadmap planning.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution Oversight
• Partner with implementation partner PM to track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, and constraints
• Ensure project execution stays aligned with delivery plan
PMO Governance & Standards
• Maintain core project artifacts:
○ RAID logs
○ Status reports
○ Change control logs
○ Decision registers
○ Signoff documentation
• Ensure adherence to internal PMO processes and structure
Audit Traceability & Documentation
• Maintain full traceability across:
○ Design decisions
○ Scope changes
○ Testing approvals
○ Go-live readiness
• Support audit and compliance requirements through documentation
Cross‑Functional Coordination
• Align business and IT stakeholders across:
○ Adaptive Planning
○ Workday Financials, HCM, Prism
• Coordinate engagement for design reviews, testing, and approvals
Testing Coordination & Readiness
• Support execution of:
○ SIT / E2E / UAT testing
• Ensure defect tracking, test evidence, and signoffs are complete
• Monitor readiness and escalate blockers
Stakeholder Communication
• Provide project status updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Facilitate steering committees and executive reporting
• Clearly communicate risks, progress, and decisions
Change Management & Business Readiness
• Coordinate training, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Ensure business is prepared for go-live and adoption
Post–Go-Live & Roadmap Planning
• Support transition into sustainment and operational ownership
• Define post–go-live roadmap and enhancements
• Help prioritize Day 2 improvements and optimization initiatives


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience

Basic Qualifications:
· Strong experience with Workday Finance ecosystem
o Other ERP Finance experience is concessional
· Proven experience operating within PMO frameworks and governance-heavy environments
o Experience managing project delivery, dependencies, and risk mitigation
· Experience working with external implementation partners / system integrators
· Strong understanding of audit requirements, controls, and documentation
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading Adaptive Planning implementations(HIGHLY PREFERRED)
• Background in FP&A / financial planning systems
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
Experience with enterprise system integrations across Finance + HR platforms
