Job Description

Our client, a large Engineering and Construction Management Firm, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee a project for the Coast Guard in Key West, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale commercial ground-up construction projects, particularly those involving the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal entities. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning, execution, and closing phases of construction projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Oversee project documentation and reporting.
- Conduct risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met.
- Mentor and support project team members.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on commercial ground-up construction.
Proven experience with DoD or other federal construction projects.
OSHA 30 certification is required.
EM 385 federal safety certification
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
