Job Description
Our client in the utilities space is looking for an Switchyard Engineer responsible for providing engineering project management support for renewable energy interconnection infrastructure, including switchyards and high‑voltage transmission facilities. This role supports solar and wind projects by managing engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) activities from project inception through Issued for Construction (IFC), ensuring schedule, quality, and utility coordination requirements are met. The position serves as a key liaison between engineering, procurement, construction, utilities, and development teams to enable successful grid interconnection. This position pays $50-55/hour.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years' experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation/switchyard projects.
○ Need experience in scheduling (MS Project or P6 or exp w any scheduling tool)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Any experience in utilities
• PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline
