Job Description

The IAM Technical Lead is a senior-level, hands-on role responsible for leading the design, implementation, and deployment of enterprise-grade Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This role demands deep technical expertise in IAM technologies and strong leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams through the full product deployment lifecycle. The IAM Lead will translate business and security requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient IAM solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Implementation
• Design & Architecture: Lead the design and development of IAM components including identity governance, access management, privileged access management (PAM), and modern authentication.
• Solution Deployment: Oversee end-to-end deployment and integration of IAM products, collaborating closely with development and engineering teams.
• Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce IAM technical standards, processes, and best practices in partnership with architecture and cybersecurity teams.
• Automation: Drive automation of IAM workflows such as provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certifications.
• Technical Roadmapping: Collaborate with Product Owners to shape the technical vision and roadmap for IAM products.
Team and Project Management
• Team Guidance: Mentor IAM engineers and developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, Security Operations, and business units to ensure IAM solutions support broader strategies.
• Project Oversight: Serve as technical lead for IAM initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with scope and requirements.
• Incident Resolution: Act as escalation point for complex IAM-related issues, providing expert troubleshooting.
Governance and Compliance
• Compliance Frameworks: Ensure IAM systems meet regulatory requirements including SOX and NERC-CIP.
• Risk Mitigation: Implement controls to maintain secure access and infrastructure in regulated environments.
• Audit Support: Maintain documentation and reporting to support internal and external audits.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead ongoing optimization of IAM products and processes to address evolving threats.

Hourly Pay Range: $80-85

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 8–10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in IAM solution design and implementation.
• IAM Tools: Expertise in CyberArk, SailPoint IIQ/Identity Security Cloud, Azure AD, IBM ISIM.
• Protocols: Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, GitHub/GitLab for automation and integration.
• Cloud IAM: Experience with EntraID, AWS Cognito, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault.
• Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific credentials (e.g., CyberArk Sentry/Guardian, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator).
• Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
