Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Capital Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM). This role will be responsible for scoping, specifying, procuring, installing, validating, and launching the CMM into production. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Mold Tooling, Quality, Validation, and Safety teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Scoping & Specification

Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables for CMM implementation.
Develop technical specifications and performance requirements.
Procurement & Vendor Management

Lead the selection and purchase of CMM equipment.
Coordinate with vendors for delivery timelines, installation requirements, and support.
Installation & Commissioning

Oversee equipment delivery, site preparation, and installation.
Manage IQ (Installation Qualification) and OQ (Operational Qualification) processes.
Ensure proper commissioning and integration into existing systems.
Programming & Validation

Develop or oversee development of CMM programs for part inspection.
Collaborate with Quality and Validation teams to execute validation protocols.
Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Training & Production Launch

Organize and facilitate training for operators and engineers.
Support transition to production, ensuring smooth handoff and operational readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Engineering, Mold Tooling, Quality, Validation, and Safety departments.
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.

This position pays 50-60 based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
-5+ years of experience in capital project management, preferably in manufacturing or metrology.
Proven experience with CMM equipment and programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
-Strong understanding of IQ/OQ/PQ and validation processes.
-Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
-Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with mold tooling and precision measurement.
-Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
-PMP or similar project management certification.
