Job Description
Responsible for the preparation of detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for industrial
processes, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, compressed air, energy saving and conversion systems,
pneumatic transport systems, control systems, utility systems, fuel oil systems, natural gas systems, pier mechanical
systems, and other systems of major size and complexity of up to MILCON scope for use by Naval Shore Facilities,
including multistory offices and quarters, steam plants, industrial waste treatment plants, ship piers, naval nuclear
repair facilities, aircraft overhaul facilities and a very wide diversion of other structures and facilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Mechanical Engineering: Bachelor Degree in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering or Engineering
Technology program and minimum of 5 years of Mechanical systems design including at least 1 year working on
Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency.
A minimum of 5 years of professional mechanical engineering code compliant facilities design experience
for new construction, including renovation design experience, is required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering is desired
