Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on electronics technician to support our Chesterfield, MO lab —
carrying out assembly, repair, and bring-up of custom embedded hardware units. Engineers will be
assisting remotely to provide step-by-step guidance throughout. Candidate does not need prior
knowledge of our systems, but you must be comfortable with electronics and precise under
instruction.
What the work involves:
• Assembling embedded hardware units from a parts kit and wiring diagram — mounting
boards, routing and terminating cables, connecting sensors and actuators
• Inspecting and repairing interconnected PCB assemblies — checking for damaged
components, burnt pins, and incorrect connections across multi-board systems
• Working with Raspberry Pi single-board computers — safe handling, GPIO connector
inspection, board replacement, and SD card preparation
• Crimping and assembling connector harnesses — including housing, terminals, and panelmount connections
• Connecting and troubleshooting I2C sensors in daisy-chained configuration
• Wiring 12V/5V power distribution — DC barrel connectors, buck converters, rocker switches,
and USB-C power cables
• Working with 3D-printed enclosures — fitting heat-set inserts, mounting hardware, and
assembling PETG parts around electronics
• Following assembly and wiring instructions provided remotely in real time
• Logging work done, parts used, and flagging any issues to the remote engineering team

Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with low-voltage electronics — comfortable handling PCBs,
connectors, and wiring.
• Competent with crimp connectors, cable harness assembly, and multi-board interconnects
• Understands electrical safety — reconnecting power components after checking for faults
• Able to follow remote technical instructions precisely and work collaboratively under
guidance
• Able to read basic wiring diagrams and component reference sheets
• Organized and methodical on-site — able to track parts and document progress
independently
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
— experience with IP networking fundamentals
— background in physical security or detection systems
