An engineering services company is looking for skilled Fiber Optic Technicians to support ongoing contract work in the Florida panhandle. The Fiber Optic Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems aboard ships and vessels. This role ensures that all fiber optic networks are functioning optimally to support communication and data transmission needs. Duties will include:
Installing fiber optic cables, connectors, and related equipment
Manually building and polishing connectors
Conducting regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems
Reading and interpreting shipboard installation drawings
Hourly compensation ranges from $22.00-25.00/hr based on experience and qualifications.

Proven commercial experience with fiber optic installations
Preferably with ships or vessels
Skillful at copper and fiber terminations
Rack to rack electric/fiber optic cabling experience
