Job Title: Legal Receptionist
Location: Onsite
Pay Rate: $18–$22/hour
Schedule: Full‑time
Duration: 9‑Month Contract‑to‑Hire
Job Overview:
A well‑established tax law firm is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Legal Receptionist to support daily front‑office and clerical operations. This role is highly administrative and phone‑heavy, serving as the first point of contact for clients while providing critical clerical support to the legal team.
Responsibilities:
• Answer and manage a high volume of inbound phone calls; screen and route calls appropriately
• Greet clients and provide professional front‑office support
• Sort, scan, and file legal and tax documentation accurately
• Maintain and update records within the firm’s CRM and case management systems
• Pull and generate reports from internal software systems
• Contact clients to request missing or required documentation
Perform general clerical and administrative duties as needed to support attorneys and staff

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a clerical, administrative, or receptionist role
• Strong clerical background with proven organizational skills
• Comfortable handling phones, documentation, and data entry
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong attention to detail and follow‑through
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a tax, legal, or accounting environment
• Familiarity with Intuit ProConnect and/or QuickBooks
• Experience with THS or similar tax systems
General tax background or exposure to tax documentation
