A large engineering client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Project Manager to join our materials department in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials testing and consulting, with a focus on horizontal and vertical roadway projects. This role involves managing projects, scheduling, invoicing, and correspondence, as well as creating proposals and engaging in business development activities. Key Responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee materials testing and consulting projects.
Schedule project activities and ensure timely completion.
Handle invoicing and maintain accurate financial records.
Correspond with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Develop proposals and engage in business development (50% of the role).
Layout operational plans for the materials team to support proposal writing and pre-award activities.
Expected hourly rates $50-60/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

5-10 years of experience in construction materials testing and consulting.
Experience with horizontal roadway or vertical roadway projects.
Engineering degree.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects.
