Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop process technologies and acquire, develop, and qualify manufacturing equipment for new and existing products. The MPE will also improve and implement manufacturing processes to achieve operational excellence.

Set up new production lines, recommend improvements to existing processes, evaluate manufacturing equipment, and ensure documentation for equipment qualification is completed.
Oversee the development of precise and robust assembly fixtures and tooling for new product assembly during prototype and production phases.
Conduct time studies and ergonomic evaluations to improve tooling, fixturing, controls, and automation; identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
Review new product models (NPI) for manufacturability and monitor pilot runs.
Submit ECNs for necessary corrections and improvements.
Present KPIs and create presentations for leadership as needed.
Optimize equipment and space utilization by coordinating production area layouts.
Apply design of experiments techniques to establish standards and resolve issues.
Implement lean principles and participate in continuous improvement events.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
At least five years of experience in electronics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing, and process engineering, specifically with RF and Microwave electronic components and assemblies.
Experience in semiconductor assembly and packaging.
Experience in mechanical reliability testing and related equipment.
In-depth knowledge of assembly processes and technologies such as surface mount, high-frequency assemblies, die and wire attach, and encapsulation.
Knowledge of industry standards, PCB technologies, plating processes, adhesive/encapsulant materials, and solder materials.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
