Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Superintendent with 5-7 years of commercial construction experience to join our growing Florida operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading field operations on large-scale commercial projects including Higher Education, Healthcare, Aviation, Science & Technology, Entertainment, Hospitality, or similar institutional construction projects.
This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day field activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring the highest level of quality throughout construction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily field operations from site mobilization through project completion.
Lead subcontractor coordination and oversee all on-site construction activities.
Develop and maintain short-interval schedules to support overall project milestones.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements.
Conduct daily safety meetings, site walks, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure proper execution of work.
Monitor productivity, sequencing, manpower, and site logistics.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners.
Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts.
Maintain quality control standards and ensure work is completed per plans and specifications.
Assist with project planning, phasing, and turnover activities.
Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff.


The following experience and skill set are preferred:

· Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Construction discipline: Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture

· Basic knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed/advance.

· Knowledge of basic business principles sufficient to project and monitor expenses.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

· Ability to read and understand technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions and engineering/architectural drawings.

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Required Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications
5-7 years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Field Engineer on commercial construction projects.
Experience with projects valued at $10M+ preferred.
Proven experience managing multiple trades and fast-paced project schedules.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means and methods, and site logistics.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Knowledge of project scheduling software and construction management technology.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
