Job Description

The Controls Engineer supports the Pre-Sales, Production and Post-Sales processes by Developing, Designing, Implementing and Supporting Industrial Control Panels and Control Systems used in Fuel Management Applications. This person will be apart of a team of 5 people. They will be working with controls and PLCs for their products. They will complete controls from scratch or work will with existing standards and develop controls. This person will also be working on open products, building controls packages for production, assigning systems, producing, and testing.


Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary engineering team by assisting in Electrical/Controls design activities related to:
• New Standard products/product lines.
• Revisions and Continuous Improvement on existing products/product lines.
• New Custom Products following customer specifications.
• Programs PLCs for OEM Equipment
• Develops and Executes Test Methods and protocols for testing software and hardware.
• Prepare Control’s Load Calculations, select equipment and layout for Control Panel.
• Assists the Production Department with Training and Production Drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Creates accurate designs and documentation within specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Creates and Manages CAD Packages, Drawings, Diagrams and Bills of Materials.
• Creates System Manuals, Installation Instructions and Sequence of Operations Documentation.
• Provides Technical Support within a specific function for others within the organization, Including Project Management, Marketing, Manufacturing and Sales.
• Proposes New Ideas and initiate cost reduction and product improvement efforts to increase overall product value.

Salary ranges from 75-90k

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/software engineering/ Megatronics (or a related field) with at least three (3) years of experience, or if they do not have degree, ten (10) years of related experience and/or training.
• 4+ years of professional experience and strong in one of the below areas:
• STRONG Experience with PLC programming (Automation, Software side) Ladder logic, function block PLC programming from scratch
• Experience with industrial control panels
• GREAT go-getter personality/culture fit - eager, wanting to grow as engineer
