Job Description
A Fortune 100 employer in the Financial Services industry is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join its Customer 360 team. This person will be working on the C360 application that allows internal and external customers to create a 360 image of its customers. The Engineer's primary focus will be developing backend components and newer features, along with solving complex application development tasks and supporting existing development. As part of a SAFe agile scrum team, they will be coordinating with users, test, and functional analysts to determine requirements and ensure the system improvements are successfully implemented and continuously deployed. The ideal candidate must have strong experience with hands-on Java development with at least version 8, good knowledge around relational and no-sql databases, and experience creating and consuming REST API's from scratch.
Location: This is a hybrid onsite position 3x weekly.
Compensation:
$5-55/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and minimum 2+ years' experience as an Engineer or Developer
Expert Java development/coding, Java 8+
Experience defining and building REST API's
Thorough hands-on experience using SQL & NoSQL databases (couchbase, redis, PostgreSQL)
Strong Data Structure/Algorithms knowledge
Strong Enterprise Experience -- Enterprise Deployment Tools, Cloud, Availability, Performance & Monitoring
Strong technical discipline
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Reactive development, ideally with VertX
