Job Description
Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to perform complex analysis and provide skilled assistance in the preparation of the budget process within the Office of Management and Budget. Work involves performing budgetary and financial analysis, program operations and policy review analysis in the preparation and administration of a comprehensive annual budget. Work may involve budget responsibility for a major department and/or management analysis or participation in program evaluation and management projects. The position is responsible for the compilation, creation and preparation of a comprehensive annual budget for submission. Candidates should exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment in the conduct of duties, referring unique, unusual, or complex situations to an administrative superior for review and advisement. Onsite 5x/week.
Pay Rate: $30-40/hr depending on experience and background

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of experience in local government/municipality budget preparation and financial analysis work (including experience with governmental accounting practices and procedures and local government financial information systems)
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or other ERP/BPM software
• Proficiency extracting data for financial/budget analysis
• Proficiency in creating financial reports
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with MS Office Products
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• Strong Business Acumen
