Job Description

We’re seeking a Project Accountant with strong job‑costing and project accounting experience. This role manages weekly payroll allocations, multi‑line journal entries, and Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) reporting using GAAP‑influenced guidelines.

Responsibilities
Process 50+ journal entries
Allocate labor by job, cost code, and phase
Maintain weekly WIP schedules and percent‑complete reporting
Reconcile field time (FSC or similar) and transfer data into QuickBooks Online
Support project managers with job cost and progress reporting
Maintain job setup and cost codes in QuickBooks Online; assist with legacy Desktop data

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of construction accounting or project accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP‑influenced WIP and revenue recognition
Hands‑on experience with job costing and cost code structures
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; Desktop familiarity preferred
Excel skills required: PivotTables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, percent‑complete formulas, labor burden calculations, data cleaning, and maintaining WIP/job cost templates
High attention to detail and ability to meet weekly deadlines
