Transportation Coordination: Lead coordination of Trucking & Rail transportation, collaborating with the Director of Ocean Freight Logistics to ensure proper scheduling, storage, and shipping of barge material.
Supply Chain Strategy: Develop, execute, and defend supply chain strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
Network Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in the network and leverage stakeholder feedback to prioritize and execute projects.
Product Availability: Coordinate with production, commercial, and terminal leaders to ensure product availability and delivery for internal and external customers.
Freight Operations Oversight: Oversee freight/transportation operations, including high-level selection of carriers, routing, and scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Customer Experience: Direct accountability for the customer experience and logistics centers for Ready-Mix, Block, Replenishment, freight operations, and internal transportation fleet. This includes managing live call queue channels with performance KPIs and stakeholder accountability.
Material Sourcing: Source internal and third-party material throughout the state to accommodate internal and external customers while balancing material budgets for the internal Ready-Mix business. This includes price and volume negotiations.
Vendor Communication: Balance communication with third-party haulers and vendors to protect margins through rate and capacity negotiations across product lines.
Call Center Leadership: Act as the leader for the corporate call center, responsible for assisting in interviews to fill positions for all live dispatching and customer service channels. This includes building an annual budget, overseeing management and staff, and continuous improvement training.
Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with commercial sales teams across product lines to maintain transparency around customer experience and delivery efficiency. Maintain, edit, or create new KPIs that provide at-a-glance results for the executive team and business stakeholders.
Budget Management: Work with department heads to build out a departmental and live channel annual budget specific to headcount and overtime goals.
Team Development: Mentor and develop team members by identifying training needs and providing coaching and growth opportunities.
Metrics Tracking: Develop and maintain a robust system for tracking and analyzing key supply chain metrics such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory turnover, and cost performance.
Resource Leverage: Leverage network resources to maintain and gain leverage specific to raw material sourcing through third-party haulers.

10+ years of progressive Logistics & Supply Chain experience.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the building material industry.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends.
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance required.
MBA or masters in supply chain or logistics preferred.
P&L experience with a minimum of $50 million.
Transportation budget experience exceeding $100 million.
