Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our data modernization efforts. This role focuses on validating, modeling, and organizing data from over 200 incoming data feeds processed through automated pipelines. You’ll help ensure the data is clean, well-structured, and ready for use in reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain JSON schemas to define and validate incoming data structures.
• Review and validate incoming data feeds for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Monitor and support data pipelines, ensuring they deliver high-quality, schema-compliant data.
• Use SQL to clean, organize, and validate data against defined models and rules.
• Define and apply data rules (e.g., correct VIN formats, expected field values).
• Track and report on data quality metrics and schema compliance.
• Document data definitions, validation logic, and decisions made during the review process.
• Maintain records of data issues and resolutions for transparency and future reference.
Collaborate with engineering and reporting teams to ensure validated and modeled data is ready for use.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in writing and understanding SQL queries for data analysis and cleanup.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Experience designing JSON schemas and defining data models for structured data exchange.
• Ability to document data definitions, validation rules, and schema logic clearly.
• Effective communication skills to explain data structures, issues, and resolutions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving data environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Power BI or semantic layer design.
• Exposure to large-scale data environments or multiple data sources.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts and automated data pipelines.
• Understanding of data governance or data quality frameworks.
