Job Description

An employer is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist that is interested in being a PIC for a closed-door specialty pharmacy near Davenport, Florida. They are looking for someone that is passionate about leadership and interested in taking a small specialist pharmacy to the next level.

The Pharmacist ensures successful daily operations in the pharmacy. This role’s duties include supervising pharmacy staff, non-sterile compounding, filling and dispensing medications.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws as applicable for each unique line of business.
- Ensures medical and supplies are dispensed in accordance with state and federal and manufacturer labeling and packaging requirements.
- Provide education and information on medication therapy. Counsels patients about their medications.
- Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment, or healthcare supplies.
- Ensures medications are appropriately labeled, stored and appropriate measures are in place to handle any expired medications.
- Assist in the maintenance of financial control through conservative use of inventories and supplies.
- Assist in the coordination of the pharmacy with outside agencies to assure compliance with all state and federal rules, regulations and laws governing pharmacy activities including Florida Board of Pharmacy

Hours Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM (no weekend work)

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Active Florida Pharmacist license.
- P/L management experience required.
- Must possess demonstrated experience in non-sterile compounding medications.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates and recommends alternative solutions for process improvements.
