Job Description
Insight Global is seeking the immediate hire of an experienced and licensed Structural Engineer (with a
Florida P.E. license, is highly desired). The candidate must possess the technical ability to independently work
through a project from schematic design through the construction phase with minimal guidance. Our attention
to detail and the quality of service we provide for clients separates us from other firms.
Candidates will be required to prepare engineering calculations and oversight of construction documents.
Coordinate structural design with architects, other engineering disciplines, building officials, and contractors.
Perform construction administration functions including the review of shop drawings and interpretation of
construction documents.
Salary Range: $140,000.00 -$170,000.00

Required Skills & Experience
- Florida Licensed Professional Engineer licensed prior to 1991 or,
- Certified by the State of Florida as a Structural Plans Examiner (SE)
- Five (5) + years of structural design experience
- Five (5) + years of experience in High Velocity Hurricane Zone
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Coordinates plans examining with other departments for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Considerable knowledge of the Florida Building Code and all other applicable codes, standards, and
regulations. Knowledge of general construction methods and procedures.
- Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others in a manner conducive to full performance and
high morale
- Ability to examine plans rapidly and thoroughly against codes under workload deadline conditions.
