Job Description
An employer is looking for a Senior Manager of Application Development to sit remotely. You will primarily be tasked with leading a development/ production support team tied to a portfolio of enterprise applications. These applications vary in function but are related to vehicle maintenance, procurement, sales, etc. You will lead related projects for these applications related to modernization and enhancements. You will also oversee day to day development efforts and manage onshore, nearshore and offshore vendors that provide development and production support efforts. In addition, you will also act as a point of escalation for any related outages, production issues, or upgrades. Additional tasks will include executive stakeholder management on the business and technical side, mentoring junior engineers, hiring/ developing your team members, and architectural oversight for related applications/ processes.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years experience leading enterprise, application development/ support teams
Strong background in hands on application development (10+ years)
Experience leading development teams in Microsoft environments (.Net, Azure, etc.)
Strong business stakeholder management and relationship skills
Well versed in Agile and other methodologies
Experience partnering with QA, architecture, integrations, infrastructure, devops teams
Experiencing managing teams/ vendors onshore, nearshore, and off shore (Development and support)
Well versed in application modernization
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Logistics/ supply chain industry experience
Micro Focus knowledge/ experience
