Job Description

Insight Global's banking client is looking to bring on a Jr. Data Analyst part-time to help improve business operations. The analyst's primary duties involve collaborating with internal teams to identify data needs, designing analytical approaches, and verifying the integrity of data. Day-to-day they will extract data using SQL and build and update Power BI dashboards and reports to showcase key metrics and trends. Additional responsibilities include gaining familiarity with data sources, assisting with ongoing business intelligence efforts, resolving data processing issues, and supporting cross-functional analytical initiatives. Also, they will design, implement, and maintain robust ETL processes to automate financial and operational processes. This data analyst must have great written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in analytics, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing insights
- Experience with BI visualization tools such as Power Bi and Tableau
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and processing and basic programming (python, R)
- Background in Excel creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas and functions for data analysis
- Understanding of financial modeling and financial statements
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Background at a financial institution (highly preferred)
- Experience with Analytics Plus, Alteryx, and Kepion
- Bilingual in Spanish
