Job Description

A client in the Clearwater, FL area is looking for a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to join their Finance Reimbursement team for a direct hire opportunity. This person will be responsible for preparing and filing Medicare Cost Reports annually (5-month process post fiscal year-end). Additionally, they’ll analyze and interpret CMS regulatory updates, including proposed and final rules, model Medicare settlements and forecast reimbursement impacts, support reporting for additional areas such as DSH and GME. Lastly, they will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to assess financial implications of federal policy changes while ensuring compliance with MAC (Medicare Administrative Contractor) requirements and calculating the impacts on NPRs (Notice of Program Reimbursement).

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of proven experience with Medicare Cost Reporting
• Expertise in one of the following Governmental Reimbursement Areas:
o GME (Graduate Medical Education)
o DSH (Disproportionate Share)
o Medicare Bad Debt
• Ability to interpret and apply CMS regulations to financial operations.
• Experience with financial modeling and accrual-based forecasting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Wage Index experience
• Transplant reimbursement experience
