Job Description

An employer in the Cape Canaveral, FL market is looking for an EHS Specialist to join their team. This person will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the program is within federal, state and local guidelines. Ensure safety across the program and manufacturing environments. This person will be supporting incident management, emergency response, employee engagement, program development, job hazard assessments, inspections of PPE, evaluation of procedures and more.

In this role, it is imperative to be a strong communicator and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to think on your feet and make quick, educated decisions. While a lot of the role is quiet, there are moments of high stress.

This role is a 2-month contract, with possibility of extension. It is a fully onsite role and we're hiring for a 2nd and 3rd shift. The 2nd shift is - Mon-Fri 4PM - 2AM, and every other Saturday, 3rd shift is 10 PM to 6AM, but will be a hybrid between 2nd and 3rd shift. Flexibility with schedule changes is paramount, while your schedule will not vary drastically from the before mentioned, it may due to scheduled testing or team members taking time off. The position is paying an hourly rate of $30-50/hr, and overtime is 1.5X. Insurance is offered starting on your first day. If you're interested, please apply today!

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of experience within EHS or related education
OSHA experience (certification preferred)
Strong communication skills
Ability to think and make decisions quickly

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with NFPA and/or ASME policies and standards
