Insight Global is seeking a Senior Air Permitting Engineer to join the Air Quality team for one of our Engineering Consulting clients. This role is at a senior level. Day to day includes:
• Preparing air emissions inventories and environmental compliance reports
• Preparing emissions calculations and air permit applications
• Conducting regulatory analyses related to federal, state, and local air regulations regarding Clean Air Act, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs), and New Source Performance Standards (NSPS)
• Oversee projects requiring air dispersion modeling analysis performed by others
• Performing analyses related to air pollution control systems and source monitoring and measurement requirements
• Established relationships with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and perspective clients
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering - environmental or chemical engineering preferred
• Florida PE (Professional Engineer)
• Minimum 15 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience with an environmental consulting firm or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced in air quality permitting and air quality compliance specific to Florida
• Ability to perform field work and occasional overnight travel assignments
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Master's Degree in Engineering
• Experience with air quality modeling (SCREEN3, AERSCREEN, AERMOD)
